100 Monkeys

Besides loving all things Twilight, the Sisterhood has discovered the band 100 Monkeys.  Some of us have ventured out on a Tuesday (or two, or three...) to see them play at 24K Lounge in LA.  We have been so very lucky to have one dedicated member who has sent us up to the minute details of the shows for those of us that were not able to make the show!

On the first evening that we took Jackson the Moose out on the town, the band was nice enough to create a song on the spot: The Moose Blues.  Check out the video:

(I know the lighting is pretty bad... but that is not our fault :)  Thank you to HauntHoneyBee who posted this on YouTube!)  An MP3 of the Moose Blues can be found below and is available for downloading.  More pictures from our adventures to be posted soon!
Rush

Standing in the crowd
No room to breath
Bodies on top of one another
No inclination to leave

More people squeeze in
The crowd so thick
Anticipation rises
As by the minutes tick

Then one by one
They walk to the stage
My heart pounds harder
Threatening to break through my rib cage

The strum of the guitar
Fingers dancing on keys
The beat of the drum
The music wraps around me

Pulsing beats
Contagious energy
Lost in the lyrics
Eyes closed but I still see

My pulse pounds in my ears
With each song anticipation grows
It’s an indescribable feeling
The rush of a 100 Monkeys show

~ Coven Mother Kelley

Kelley sent the poem to the 100 Monkeys and they responded back:

"Thanks so much for the poem and for the support!
love,
100 Monkeys"
